Dr. Neda Amiri

BSc, MHSc, MD, FRCPC, ABIM
Rheumatology & Internal Medicine
Clinical Associate Professor, UBC

Dr. Amiri has graduated from University of British Columbia where she has done her medical school and residency training in adult rheumatology.


She has completed additional training in management of rheumatic diseases in pregnancy at the University of California, San Diego and University of Toronto. Her areas of interest include rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and vasculitis.

She is a clinical associate professor with division of rheumatology at the University of British Columbia (UBC), as well as active staff rheumatologist at Vancouver General Hospital, St. Paul's Hospital as well as Lion's Gate Hospital.


In addition, she is the Director of Pregnancy and Rheumatic Diseases Clinic (PReDICT) clinic at Mary Pack Arthritis Centre where she provides care and counselling to patients with rheumatic diseases who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.

Dr. Mandana Moosavi

BSc, MPH, MDCM, FRCPC, ABIM
Adult Endocrinology and Metabolism

Clinical Assistant Professor, UBC

Dr. Moosavi completed her undergraduate degree in Physiology at McGill University in 2008. She did her medical school training at McGill University.

Her training in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology was completed at UBC. She also has a graduate degree in Public Health and Epidemiology at Harvard University. As a Clinical Assistant Professor with the division of Endocrinology at UBC, she is involved in training residents and fellows. She is also involved in clinical trials of pancreatic islet transplant and stem cell therapy. Her areas of interest in addition to General Endocrinology are Type 1 diabetes and obesity.

Dr. Alice Mai

Clinical Assistant Professor, UBC

Dr. Mai completed medical school and residency training in adult rheumatology at the University of British Columbia.

She has completed additional training in the management of Sjogren's syndrome at the University of Toronto. In addition to general rheumatology, her areas of interest include Sjogren's syndrome, systemic sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and vasculitis. She is the director of the Sjogren's Clinic at Mary Pack Arthritis Centre.

Dr. Paul Atkins

BScH, MD, FRCPC 

Adult Endocrinology and Metabolism

Clinical Assistant Professor, UBC

Dr. Paul Atkins completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Queen's University in 2012 and went on to complete medical school at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University in 2016. 

At the University of British Columbia, he completed residency training in Internal Medicine in 2019 and a fellowship in Endocrinology & Metabolism in 2021.  Most recently he completed a Diabetes and Endocrinology in Pregnancy clinical fellowship at the University of Toronto in 2022.  His areas of interest in addition to general endocrinology include diabetes, thyroid disorders, and endocrinology in pregnancy.

Dr. Azin Ahrari

MD, FRCPC
Rheumatology & Internal Medicine
USSONAR MSK Ultrasound Fellow

 

Dr. Ahrari graduated from University of Ottawa medical school and completed her rheumatology training at University of British Columbia. She completed further  specialization in musculoskeletal ultrasound by Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists (USSONAR) and lupus fellowship at University of Calgary Lupus Centre of Excellence. She is currently practicing general rheumatology with an interest in MSK ultrasound and lupus in Fraser Valley as well as Vancouver.

Danielle was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, and relocated to Vancouver in 2021. She studied at Vancouver Community College and brings a diverse nursing background with experience in Orthopedics and General Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Fertility. Danielle is passionate about patient-centered care and values building supportive, trusting relationships with those she works with.

Rodelyn was born in Davao City Philippines. She has previously worked in Singapore and China between 2001-2008. Rodelyn has called Canada home since 2009. She started work with Summit Specialists in 2018. She can be often found just behind the computer screens in the office. She prides herself in her work. Outside of work, she is very crafty and makes the best gift baskets.

Paloma was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico.  She spent seven years teaching young children as a preschool educator.  In 2021, she came to Canada, where she continues to grow both personally and professionally. During her leisure hours, Paloma loves journaling and reading.
